About Palmer Square
Palmer Square is nestled between Bucktown and Logan Square, boasting beautiful brownstones and graystones on a wide boulevard with quaint tree-lined streets. This affordable neighborhood has historic Palmer Square Park in the middle of Palmer Boulevard, with lovely turn of the century mansions and walkups on both sides of the Boulevard.
From spring through fall, the mature trees in the Park provide a haven for all types of birds, and also form a lovely sun dappled canopy over the Boulevard. Local residents take full advantage of the Park, and can be seen strolling and picnicking when the weather permits. Many of the historic mansions, which have been lovingly restored to their original majestic splendor, still do not have central air conditioning because the shade provided by the trees provides a cool breeze even on a hot Chicago summer day!
There are many local restaurants and bars in the area, and transportation is convenient with a Blue Line stop within walking distance, and a short drive to the highway (90/94) as well. Enjoy the close proximity to Bucktown and Wicker Park at a fraction of the price in Palmer Square!
