About DePaul
Named for the college that bears its name, DePaul is the cozy enclave surrounding DePaul University, a Catholic institution established in 1898. The quaint and tree lined Armitage and Webster streets offer fine boutique shopping, restaurants and the occasional bar along with beautiful homes and apartment buildings.
The south and west boundary of the DePaul neighborhood is the Clybourn Corridor, once a vital industrial district for the city. All that has changed in recent years with the transformation of those old factories into lofts, and major new construction of luxury homes on former abandoned industrial lots. This stretch of Clybourn is made up of clusters of great stores, including Crate & Barrel, Whole Foods, Bed Bath and Beyond, Webster Place Cinema, Pier 1 Imports, Restoration Hardware, Barnes & Noble and countless others.
The area surrounding DePaul University is a mix of families, students, and young professionals. Dwellings in this area are highly sought after, making the demand for apartments and condominiums extremely high.
